About Mambo 101

The idea behind this blog is simple: this is a spot where occasionally – an article will be posted that bears honest views and analyses of the issues surrounding Kenya, Africa and the world – from politics to humanity to science to business to life.

The articles will be longer than the average blog article and the language will be simple but not colloquial. The reasoning will be sound and the tone will be polite. This blog will present serious views about the issues that affect the author(s) from their perspective. Disagreements are most welcome but these will be logical and not personal.

This blog is one of discourse.

If you enjoy serious discourse, you are welcome. If you are passing the time, do it quietly.

I would like to welcome Mambo101 to the blogsphere. So far so good, liking the content that I’ve read. I have a question, however, do you forsee a time when ideas, issues and insights from the virtual world can make a difference in the real world? Or have we just moved our random bar politics to a new level?

    Vee,

I believe they already have. I have known Al Kags and Eddie Lambo for a long time and they are trustees of some of the children and advocacy projects that I have started. we met online. The Kenyan Community Abroad, which has done quite a number of things including the Stop campaign, is a largely online organisation…

the bloggosphere is a tool. If the ideas here get you doing something when you become a minister, then they have been useful.
